We went through Avarial's house and workshop and found some interesting things. He had a suit of platemail with intricate artwork depicting ocean scenes, and a trident - somewhat surprising for a being of fire. The rest of his items were somewhat mundane in comparison - a dancing spiked chan, mithral breastplate, and three magical silver daggers.

I took one of the silver daggers and a crossbow and bolts from the guards. I'm not at all proficient with these weapons, but I have a feeling they will prove to be useful.

More thourough searching of his house revealed several curative potions, much to my liking.

Agatha and I decided to go into town to try and locate Avarial's shop, to see if perhaps he went there. Honesty recovered Agryk's body and left it outside town, so it wouldn't be discovered.

After we stowed the Griffons we flew in on at an aviary, we went to the magic district of Scuttle Cove to try and find the location of Avarial's magic shop. From the man at the aviary, we learned that the owner of the establishment and some others in town had been called off to Gwailen's manor. This apparently happens occasionally, and at all times of the day. Still, it was obvious to me that it was because Avarial had told Gwailen about us and had called a meeting of important people in town.

After some searching, Agatha found the right magic shop. It was staffed by two half elves. Agatha took one into the back and botched an attempt to subdue him, so I had to take care of the one remaining.

Although it was a bad idea and makes the presence of the Illithids known in Scuttle Cove, I was overtaken by the temptation to extract the brain of Shipe, a low-level wizard. I assume this has much to do with the fact that I hadn't had a brain in several weeks, and this was a nice, young brain standing right in front of me waiting to be devoured. In any case, this will put Scuttle Cove on alert and cause problems.

After we escaped with ease from the pathetic excuse of a militia the town had, the three of us returned, got our Griffons, and left. Since we needed an escape route, we were hoping to use the ship that Agryk and Agatha owned, however when we flew past it, it was clear that it had been comandered by the town militia. Undoubtedly, they had been tipped off by Avarial from the day before.

Thus, we decided to take the Griffons and fly to an island near Vindale island, where apparently Agryk and Agatha helped a local population of slaves out of captivity from the dragon who lived on the island. I'm sure Grovil will not approve of this, however since he does not know where the island is, we should be safe for a time. This will also offer us a chance to get Agryk restored to life.
