The party is approached by a group of seven adventurers: Carillaheart and Velanaheart, a pair of twin elf female warriors; Joka, a half-elf wizard; Vincent de Jesus, a human fighter; Necross, a half-orc barbarian; Mostill, a Drow rogue and Nazrael, a Drow fighter, both brothers. Mostill introduces the party as being sent from Kingston to render assistance. He produces a sealed letter. Upon inspection, the party finds that the group has been sent by Brith to help. The party is edgy, but accepts the assitance.

The combined party breaks camp and during mid-morning, encounter a small Orc encampment with about fifteen soldiers. The party ambushes the Orc camp and swiftly slaughters them. During the melee, Protha Node charges in, yelling, "DIE!", and attacks Necross. Necross retalliates and swiftly fells Protha. Blayne, hoping to save Protha rushes to his aid. As she nears Protha, Necross readies a coup de gras. Without warning, a wizard dressed in a purple cloak with long blond hair materializes, and casts a prismatic sphere around Blayne, Necross, Protha, and himself. He orders Necross to stand down. Necross refuses, and ignores Blayne's suggestion he do so. The wizard drops the prismatic sphere and teleports away with Protha, and Necross' right foot.
The party finds numerous Elven artifacts, including a large tapestry and a golden chalice, and a large amount of silver. The party loads the artifacts on their horses and begins moving again.
At nightfall, the party makes two camps to confuse would-be attackers. In the middle of the night, three elves appear in the camp and interrogate the party, distrusting them because they are carrying Elven artifacts, and especially because there are two Drow and a half-orc present. Teller (who is half-elven) manages to convince the elves to return in the morning so he may have time to prepare a response.
